In light of an unscheduled brief outage on one of our core wavelengths between our two main London data centre points of presence (POP) last month, our provider is scheduling maintenance works to improve the fibre optical distribution frame (ODF) in Telehouse North.
During the maintenance work, fibre cables, patches and routing will be replaced/improved to ensure that any engineering works in this vicinity in the future will not disturb and cause outages on our span as they did previously.
As M12/Giganet operate with two diverse wavelengths, with a tertiary pseudowire added for good measure, we do not anticipate any disruption or impact to any services during this time, however the network shall be considered 'at-risk'.
